Low Deflection Pool Cue Shaft Comparison Chart

This is a comparison chart of the specifications of the most popular low deflection shafts. I have researched for hours and hours to see what the top low deflection shafts are. Please let me know if you have any suggestions and I can add them.

I have compiled that list into a chart to hopefully make it easier for you to compare the different low deflection shafts in one place.

Highlights of Each Low Deflection Shaft

  • Predator Revo: This is the ultimate low deflection shaft made of aero space grade carbon fiber composite. The most accurate shaft at high/low speeds and greatest durability.
  • Cue Cynergy 15K: This is arguably better, worse, or similar (depending on who you ask) compared to the Revo. If you want the lowest deflection ever on the most wood-like-feeling on a carbon fiber shaft, this is the one.
  • Predator 314-3: This is predators best all-around (stiffness, feedback, and accuracy) champ. V-Tek construction allows low-end mass.
  • Predator Vantage: The strongest, thickest, and most stiff shaft of the Predator family. Lowest front-end mass of the 3 (314/Z3/Vantage). V-Tek construction allows low end mass.
  • Predator Z-3 (Z Shaft): The slim and flexible little brother has the smallest tip diameter of 11.85mm of the Predator family. V-Ttek construction allows low end mass.
  • Lucasi Hybrid Zero Flexpoint / Slim: Has TSC (Total Sweet Spot Construction) to provide consistent hits regardless of where the cue is held. No bore in center unlike other LD shafts.
  • Katana KATXS1/KATXS2 Slim: Katana offers one of the smallest Tip Diameter’s (11.5mm) on a low deflection shaft with their Slim KATXS2. All Katana Shafts come with 10 piece radial construction to provide optimal low deflection.
  • OB-1+: Soft and Quiet Hit. 13% less tip end mass than the regular OB Shafts. New carbon fiber pad + ferrule for more strength
  • OB-2+: OB Smallest Tip Diameter with a Soft and Quiet Hit. 13% less tip end mass than the regular OB Shafts. New carbon fiber pad + ferrule for more strength
  • OB Classic+: Firm and Crispy Hit. 13% less tip end mass than the regular OB Shafts. New carbon fiber pad + ferrule for more strength
  • OB Pro+: OB’s Smallest Tip Diameter with a Firm and Crisp Hit. 13% less tip end mass than the regular OB Shafts. New carbon fiber pad + ferrule for more strength
  • OB-XL+: OB’s Largest Tip Diameter with a Soft and Quiet Hit. 13% less tip end mass than the regular OB Shafts. New carbon fiber pad + ferrule for more strength
  • OB-XL Classic+: OB’s Largest Tip Diameter with a Firm and Crispy Hit. 13% less tip end mass than the regular OB Shafts. New carbon fiber pad + ferrule for more strength
